School Hours, Delays, and Closings

Morning Bell: 8:53 am
Dismissal: 3:23 pm

Early Morning Drop off is available at Seth Boyden through the South Mountain YMCA. Please contact Tommy Donaldson, YMCA School Age Child Care Director, at 973-762-4145 ext 15.

Students will be sent to the office if their caregiver has not arrived on time. Please call the school at 973-378-5209 if your child will be absent.

Early Morning School Closings

• Occurs before the start of school
• Determined by inclement weather conditions (snow, ice)
• The district typically makes automated calls for snow days or delayed openings

Delayed Openings

• Grades K-5 report to school at 10:53am
• Determined by inclement weather conditions that are expected to clear (snowy roads)
• No morning drop off program at Seth Boyden
• Buses pick up 2 hours later than regularly scheduled
• Calls to homes will not be made by the PTA or school staff
